FUND ORIGIN
"In the wake of the fires and devastation that erupted in Southern California, the fund is dedicated to supporting displaced families and addressing health risks caused by environmental hazards."
Community Compound was founded in 2022 to holistically support frontline organizations in accessing the resources they need to grow. Recognizing that pro bono services are often unavailable in marginalized communities, we connect organizations with technical assistance providers and cover related costs. Our fund supports efforts like grant writing, impact reporting, data analysis, partnership building, and training. By collaborating with other changemakers, we ensure communities have the support they need to compound their impact.
Community Compound addresses the recurring pattern of delayed or insufficient support for marginalized organizations and communities. Whether it’s resource-limited organizations being referred to costly contractors or communities facing late aid during emergencies, this cycle leaves those in need without the support required to thrive and compound their impact.
Community Compound seeks to break the cycle of limited access and missed opportunities by equipping marginalized communities and organizations with the resources they need to secure funding and build capacity.
By addressing systemic barriers and stepping in with critical support during times of disaster, we ensure that those in need are not left behind and can move forward with the tools to thrive.
How We Compound Community
COMMUNITY & CULTURAL WELLNESS
We facilitate community gatherings, events, and activations that deepen connection and celebrate culture. These offerings nourish the wellbeing of our communities by creating space for healing, joy, and collective care. Rooted in the power of family and community, our programs respond to urgent needs while cultivating long-term resilience—supporting physical, emotional, cultural, and financial wellness.
SOIL ADVOCACY & EDUCATION
We collaborate with a coalition of local soil advocates, environmental experts, and community members to assess, protect, and heal the land we live on. Together, we lead efforts to test, remediate, and educate around soil health—empowering our communities with the knowledge needed to safeguard our environment. We take proactive steps to safeguard the health and wellbeing of the community, creating a healthier, more secure place for families to thrive.
COMPOUND100
We identify 100 families in greatest need of support to help them get back on their feet. We stand by them, offering holistic recovery while honoring their stories and rebuilding their legacies for future generations. Our commitment is to empower these families, creating lasting change that strengthens both individuals and communities.

We use our network of subject matter experts who have been thoroughly vetted to ensure alignment with community values and who practice social impact consulting. Our partners acknowledge that one size does not fit all!
We manage contracts on behalf of communities while staying closely connected to the scope of work to make sure the job gets accomplished. This includes delivering goods, supplies and services in the event of an emergency and network weaving to achieve the greater good for as many as possible.
